Our Pre-Kinder room caters for children aged 2½ - 3½ years & our Kinder Room for ages 3½ - 5 years old.
Pre-Kinder Room
In our pre-kinder room, children aged 3 to 4 years can interact and learn together through play. They have access to a wide range of developmentally appropriate activities that support their overall development. Therefore, they are provided with opportunities for play and collaboration with their peers, and time to play and explore independently. There are also opportunities for one-to-one engagement and learning with an educator. Group time in the Pre-Kinder room provides the children with the opportunity to spark their imagination and stimulate curiosity through stories, songs, music and creative dance. Time spent in the pre-kinder room prepares children for the final step in their journey prior to commencing at school: the kinder room.
When it comes to finding childcare services and a pre kinder program, you shouldn’t have to settle for second-best. Your little one deserves to learn and grow in the safest, most nurturing environment available. This is why we put so much thought into curating our Pre Kinder Program here at Lili’s Early Learning Centre. This includes our specialised 3 years old kinder program.
We consider taking care of your children to be a huge privilege, and this sentiment is reflected in our work. From our toddler room childcare spaces to our kindergarten room, all our play spaces and programs are designed to encourage curiosity, aid discovery and advance their independence. They provide complete comfort and support, so you can feel confident that your child is in good hands.
About the Pre-Kinder Room
Our Pre Kinder Room is a safe, nurturing environment that caters specifically to children aged between 3–4 years. We allow 22 children in this room each day, so you can rest assured that your child is receiving adequate socialisation without being in an overcrowded space. While it is a single room, children have plenty of opportunity to explore other areas, as we conduct both indoor and outdoor activities in our childcare. We value fresh air, sunshine and physical activity. While our rooms are fully stocked with toys and games, we understand the importance of stimulation that goes beyond indoor activities alone. Thus, our outdoor spaces provide your child with the chance to try new things, test their physical limits and observe the natural environment.
Like all our childcare rooms, the Pre-Kinder Room is where we implement a program that is designed to facilitate growth within children of the specified age bracket. In this case, your child will participate in the Pre Kinder Program. Our Pre Kinder Programs are designed to improve your child’s development in the following areas:
- Social skills
- Emotional intelligence
- Language and literacy
- Numeracy
- Coordination and fine motor skills
- Pattern recognition
Our Pre Kinder Room is host to our 3 years old kinder, for children aged 3 to 4 years. This specially designed early childhood education program gives young children the opportunity to engage meaningfully with their environment, peers and educators in new and exciting ways, preparing them for kindergarten and eventually primary school. We emphasise learning through play and creativity, helping children learn collaboratively and independently, and always in a fun and safe way.
Routine
As part of our semi-structured Pre Kinder Program, we guide children through a number of activities that are intended to delight, entertain and teach. These pre kinder activities include free play sessions, where children can choose their own tasks to complete under supervision from our attentive carers. This gives them the space to follow their own interests and collaborate with other children. They can choose from various puzzles, blocks, books and games, learning to share and play with other children in a calm environment. Children develop social skills, including the ability to be self-aware and the capacity to be both conscious and respectful of other people’s needs. Free play also means that children are given the crucial opportunity to facilitate their own learning and find their own interests separate from the group.
We also encourage many pre kinder reading activities, which are a great method for kick-starting language and literacy skills. Our educators go above and beyond, planning activities that encourage the children to discover letters, shapes and numbers through activities such as drawing, imaginative play and creating various crafts too. The practice of counting objects is introduced in order to develop numeracy skills.
Throughout all our activities, we encourage the children to interact and talk so as to nurture their ever-evolving ability to communicate. Another thing many people find helpful about the program is that it teaches their children how to take instruction from someone other than a parent. Similarly, our Pre Kinder activities familiarise participants with the experience of playing, taking turns and working with fellow children who aren’t siblings or relatives. This prepares them really well for our Kindergarten Room, as well as primary school and their inevitable step into the wider world.
Program
Here at Lili’s Early Learning Centre, we’ve created programs that are designed to suit children of various ages and stages of development, including our 3 years old program. While these programs vary, there are some overarching themes and values that are built into all of them. Over the course of their time with us, your children will learn to form friendships, ask questions and to recognise and understand emotions. They will be given every possible opportunity to indulge in their sense of curiosity and imagination.
We are dedicated to nurturing the individual ideas and interests of each child that comes under our care. By staying consistent, this practice will encourage a love of learning that will help them in every stage of their development. Whether you’re seeking a childcare nursery room or a kindergarten room, you can trust that our child carers will take good care of your little one.

Kinder Room
Our kindergarten room caters for children aged between 4 and 5 years, with a maximum of 22 children in this group each day. Bachelor-qualified, early childhood teachers lead and develop the programs for our kinder room. In this space, engaged and productive learning occurs throughout the day. Our children are confident to resource their own learning through making positive choices, incorporating their interests and understanding our room values.
Our kindergarten room caters for children aged between 4 and 5 years old, encouraging them to explore a range of key skills in a supportive, nurturing and fun environment. This childcare room provides your child with plentiful opportunities to discover and pursue their interests and passions.
About the Kinder Room
In our kinder room, children are encouraged to be independent and are provided with many opportunities to practise their emerging self-help skills. The main goal is for children to develop a love of learning, investigative curiosity and experiment with theories and ideas through attempting problem solving before asking for assistance.
There are 22 children in this group each day, cared for by a qualified room leader with a Bachelor in Education (or equivalent). All children take part in a specially crafted program that provides them with routine and the opportunity to explore new skills, while allowing for adaptability to each child’s needs and interests.
Going to kindergarten is an important step for your child. It will help them learn skills that they will build on throughout their life. Kindergarten is also a time when your child grows socially and emotionally. Their ability to think, use and recognise language, and their fine motor skills will be developed through play, art, dance, music, movement and interacting with others.
Most importantly, at kindergarten your child will be learning to become an effective learner as they develop and extend their communication skills, build their self-confidence, learn to be creative, and develop skills that assist them with reading, writing and mathematics. All these skills and developmental milestones are fostered and encouraged by our kindergarten learning activities, program and team.
Key Skills
As part of our kindergarten cohort, your child will be a part of our program which promotes:
- Becoming involved in daily routines and developing independence.
- Focusing on relationships with friends and having responsibilities in their environment.
- Focusing on verbal and listening skills to help assist with sharing, conflict resolution, caring for others, sitting at group time and comprehending information throughout the year as part of the local community.
- Recognising and writing their name.
- Becoming confident with numbers.
These skills build on what your child has learned as part of our pre-kinder program.
Routine
Our daily kinder routine emphasises learning through play, with children participating in structured yet flexible indoors and outdoors activities. They are guided and supported by our trained early learning educators to discover more about their world and community in a positive and fun way.
Program
At Lili’s Early Learning Centre, we believe children learn through play and creative interaction with their environment and peers.
Our program is based on developmental profiling of each individual child, encompassing all developmental areas that include motor (fine and gross motor), cognitive, social and emotional, and language skills.
All skills are developed through active participation in a program that includes curriculum areas of: creative and expressive art, dramatic and imaginative play, environmental science and technology, maths and problem solving, expressive and receptive language and literature, music and movement, sensory play, and physical experiences (fine and gross motor).
Working with families is essential to the success of our educational program. Children enjoy developing their skills through child initiated learning, which is reflective of their home environment. This is why we encourage collaboration between our children and families to provide an optimal learning environment for your child, filled with fun learning activities for kindergarten children to enjoy.
We also believe in the importance of providing an environment in which children will develop an awareness of Australia’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Culture, and an awareness of the cultural diversity of our local community. This is reflected through our range of activities scheduled throughout each day.
