Lili’s Early Learning has a responsibility to protect the health and safety of each individual at all times. The centre’s Occupational Health and Safety Policy adheres to the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004.
It is our responsibility to provide and maintain a safe working environment that is without risk to health. This responsibility also applies to volunteers, contractors and temporary staff, as well as visitors and children attending our service.
The proprietors of this child care centre are committed to the health, safety and well being of its valued employees, and customers.
This centre’s commitment to the above will be demonstrated by its:
- Provision of information on health and safety issues.
- Provision of information and training in areas where there exists a risk to health or safety.
- Continuing identification of workplace hazards.
- Consultation with employees on matters relating to their health and safety.
- Elimination of workplace hazards wherever practicable
- Encouragement of all staff to identify and report on hazards, hazardous situations or incidences.
- Customer care
All employees of this centre are expected to:
- Take all reasonable care of their own safety, their colleagues, and our customers’ health and safety.
- Cooperate with any action taken by their employer to comply with the requirements of health and safety legislation, or in fulfilling their commitment to this health and safety policy.
Record and report any injury sustained in the course of their employment.
